While walking through some shopping centers in Dublin, I came across in Clerys on this very original collection called Disaster Designs
www.disasterdesigns.co.uk. The name is actually pawky as their design is not a disaster at all 🙂
It was a love from a first sight! I really love their unique, a little bit retro design and unusual, looking-sweet patterns together with no-standard colors.
Especially I liked this bag:
So darling! – 😉 if you still wonder what to buy me for Christmas, then here you’ve got the answer!
Of course you can combine your gift with a cool wallet or a cosmetic bag, I really don’t mind!! 😉
See some more their stuffs:
And what is also important – I checked what materials they used for making these goodies. As I couldn’t find it neither on their labels nor webpage, I contacted them directly.
So majority of their products is made of PVC which is regarding to http://www.pvc.org/en/p/what-is-pvc :
PVC is a thermoplastic made of 57% chlorine (derived from industrial grade salt) and 43% carbon (derived predominantly from oil / gas via ethylene). It is less dependent than other polymers on crude oil or natural gas, which is nonrenewable, and hence can be regarded as a natural resource saving plastic, in contrast to plastics such as PE, PP, PET and PS, which are totally dependent on oil or gas. This chlorine gives to PVC excellent fire resistance: when PVC is set on fire, the flames go out as the fire source is removed due to the material’s self-extinguishing properties.
As I’m vegetarian (and a half vegan already! :)) it’s really important for me to be sure that no animal leather was used to made these products.
They said that majority of their products are no-leather-production, so I really hope that soon all of their items will be ‘cruelty-free’.
